Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect what you type into the consultation form, and nothing else. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or tracking pixels. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, and we never will.

The rest of this page spells out the detail, because a summary is not a substitute for being specific.

Who we are

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the consultation form, we receive your name, email address, phone number, and any message you choose to write. That is the entire form. We ask for a phone number because most consultations start with a call.

Information recorded alongside a submission

When a form is submitted, our server also records the IP address the submission came from and the browser user-agent string. These are kept with the submission and used to investigate spam and abuse. They are not used to build a profile of you or to track you across the web.

Server logs

Requests to the form's API are logged with an IP address, timestamp, path, and response status. These logs are deleted automatically after 30 days.

What we do not collect

We want to be concrete about this rather than silent:

• No cookies are set by this site — not for analytics, not for preferences, not at all.
• Nothing is written to your browser's local or session storage.
• There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no advertising or conversion tracking of any kind.
• We do not buy information about you from data brokers, or enrich what you send us.
• We do not track which pages you visit or how long you stay.

If you visit this site and never submit the form, we hold no information that identifies you.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation.
• To plan and deliver the work you ask us to do.
• To keep a record of who has contacted us, so nothing is lost between a first message and a booked project.
• To detect and block spam and abusive submissions.

We do not send marketing email. If that ever changes, it will be something you opt into, not something that happens because you once asked for a quote.

Who else handles your information

Amazon Web Services

This website, the form, its database, and the email it generates all run on Amazon Web Services, in Amazon's US East (Northern Virginia) region. Your information is stored and processed in the United States.

Google Fonts

The typeface used on this site is served from Google's font CDN. That means your browser makes a request to Google when the page loads, and Google receives your IP address and user-agent as part of that request. No other information is sent, and it is not connected to anything you submit through the form.

Nobody else

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with advertisers, data brokers, lead-generation services, or any other third party. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose information, we will comply with a valid legal request.

How long we keep it

• Consultation submissions are kept until you ask us to delete them. There is currently no automatic expiry, because an enquiry may turn into a project months later.
• Server logs are deleted automatically after 30 days.
• Previous versions of the website's files are removed automatically after 30 days. These contain no personal information.

How it is protected

• Everything travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
• Submissions are encrypted where they are stored.
• The storage holding submissions is private, with no public access.
• Access is limited to the people who need it to run the business.

No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a guarantee nobody can make.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete what we hold.

Email hello@sdsorted.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on a request, so that nobody else can request your information.

California residents

California law gives residents rights to know what personal information is collected, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We honour these requests from anyone who asks, regardless of whether the law's size thresholds apply to a business as small as ours.

On the question of sale or sharing: we do not sell or share personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Children

This website is meant for adults arranging services for their home. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes to how we handle information already collected will be communicated directly to anyone affected.
